BRIEF DESCRIPTION

We are a Christian church. Though we have a casual atmosphere, we are committed to teaching the historic biblical doctrines of Christianity and how these truths apply to our lives in ways both profound & practical.

Our view of scripture and life is God-centered rather than man-centered.  We teach that:

  • We have been created by God, to do the will of God, for the glory of God.
  • God’s eternal plan is that, through the gospel, he would build his Church – all of the redeemed sinners that he has adopted as his children around the world and throughout history.
  • Once a part of The Church, he calls his people to connect with “local” churches where they are to grow in godliness, love and serve one another, be equipped to minister to the lost and hurting , and learn to live by the power of the gospel every day.

Here are some labels that will help you better understand who we are.

We are evangelical. For us this means two things: 1) we teach that the Bible is God’s word and is, therefore, our final authority in all matters of life and doctrine, and 2) we teach that all people are sinners deserving of God’s wrath and can only be saved from the penalty of sin and receive eternal life by putting their faith and trust in Christ alone.  (See “The Gospel” and “Man’s Response to the Gospel in Statement of Teaching.)

We are continuist. This means that we teach that the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit described in Scripture are still available and working in the Church today. We also teach that these gifts are to be informed by Scripture, regulated by Scripture, and subservient to Scripture.  (See ”Empowered by the Spirit” in Statement of Teaching.)

• We are non-denominational. This means we are not affiliated with any organized denomination. This does not mean that we are anti-denomination. Our members come from many denominational backgrounds.
